Family here, jail somewhere else

Transfer Bonds: Bail When the Arrest Is in Another County or State

A Charlotte resident arrested in Rock Hill. A Gastonia family whose son is in a jail in Asheville. A Union County warrant served in Mecklenburg. In each case the people who can co-sign are here, and the jail is somewhere else. A transfer bond solves that.

Transfer Bonds, Champion Bail Bonding Solutions Charlotte NC
The definition

What a transfer bond is

A transfer bond is a bail bond arranged through a bondsman where the family is, and posted by a bondsman licensed where the jail is. Champion handles the co-signer, paperwork and payment here, then coordinates with a partner agent in the county or state of arrest who physically posts the bond. To the jail it is an ordinary bond. To the family it means dealing with one company they can meet.
